Southern Workforce Board

The Southern Workforce Board envisions a high performance workforce in which partnerships proactively identify workforce needs and facilitate solutions.

The Board's Mission

The Southern Workforce Board is a community based not-for-profit entity operated by a volunteer Board that is business-led by members representing the community and who have an interest in workforce and economic development issues.

Town of Quinton Apprenticeship Program

The Town of Quinton proudly celebrates the successful implementation of its Apprenticeship Program, marking a significant milestone for the Quinton community. This initiative aims to enhance vital sectors such as law enforcement and water management, empowering local officers and ensuring the sustainability of the town.

The apprenticeship program was established through a collaborative partnership involving the Department of Labor, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, and the Southern Workforce Board. Apprenticeship programs play a crucial role in addressing the needs of both job seekers and employers. By providing practical skills and hands-on training, apprenticeships empower individuals to enter the workforce with the necessary qualifications and experience. For further details about apprenticeships, businesses and Individuals can reach out to Melissa Cook at the Southern Workforce Board via email at Mcook@swb-ok.com.
